Today the 2nd season of The League started; as expected we were able to open up the Pro section in all seven Leagues! At the end of this season, we will know who the first Power Soccer League champions ever are! The XP bonuses for season one will arrive as promised. If you finished top 10 in your group you can expect to cash in an XP bonus on Monday. Rank bonuses will not be dealt out for Season 1, but we will have them ready by season 2. We have some changes to the rules! In the amateur divisions you are now able to play two games against the same user! This doesn't effect the total games allowed however: it's still six per quarter. In the Pro divisions however, you can only play one game against each of your group members. A lost league game will now give you 1 league table point. A draw will give you 2 points and a win will give 4 points. This is a measure to award activeness in The League, being active should pay off! If you do not play your six games in one quarter, you may play them in the next quarter in stead. Example: if you have to go away for a week, causing you not to be able to play any games, you can play 12 games in the next quarter in stead
The Games of Beijing showed the world what the Olympics really are: a meeting of young people who share the same objective and the same enthusiasm for the sport. As well as inviting the best athletes in the world to compete against each other, the Games also provided the chance for China to present itself to the world for 16 days and 17 nights of sports festival!
Now that the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games is over, the athletes of the world already beginning to turn their attentions to the next Olympic Games to be held in London in 2012!
